DC Divya Prabhu Supervises Home Voting Initiative for Senior Citizens and PwDs in Dharwad

Dharwad: In a bid to facilitate inclusive participation in the electoral process, in Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency home voting for senior citizens and Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) began on April 25.

The home voting process, aimed at ensuring that all eligible voters exercise their democratic rights conveniently, commenced today, April 25, across seven Assembly constituencies within Dharwad. These constituencies include Hubballi-Dharwad (West), Hubballi-Dharwad (Central), Hubballi-Dharwad (East), Kundagol, Navalgund, Kalaghatagi, and Dharwad.

In an effort to oversee and ensure the smooth implementation of the home voting process, Deputy Commissioner Divya Prabhu visited several households. She visited the house of centurian Shankravva Kalghatagi,(101) house in Kamalapur.

During the visits, election officials visited the homes of registered senior citizens and PwDs, providing necessary assistance and guidance to facilitate the voting process.

In light of the ongoing home voting initiative, election officials have urged registered voters to remain at home during the designated voting hours.
